The Wangan Midnight watch x Angel Clover WM40-BK is a collaboration watch themed around Shima Tatsuya's iconic Porsche 911 Turbo — the "Blackbird" — from the legendary manga and anime series 湾岸ミッドナイト (Wangan Midnight). A dominant all-black dial carries the "911" reference, while three sub-dials styled after automotive gauges and a wheel-design engraved caseback immerse the watch completely in the world of Wangan Midnight's street racing culture. The crown and pushers are finished in a black x silver two-tone evoking tyres and wheels. Based on Angel Clover's 40mm solar platform — the same foundation as the Initial D collaboration watches — this is a pre-order model available July 8 through August 6, 2026, with shipment from early August.
Limited Edition Anime Watch Inspired by Wangan Midnight
- Shima Tatsuya Blackbird 911 Design: The all-black dial and "911" text directly reference Shima Tatsuya's legendary Porsche 911 Turbo — the Blackbird — the fastest and most feared car on the Wangan. Every colour choice and dial element is designed to capture the relentless, predatory presence of the car that made the Wangan its hunting ground.
- Three Automotive Gauge Sub-Dials: Three sub-dials styled after car instrument gauges are arranged across the dial, creating a strong motorsport-inspired look and a direct visual connection between the watch face and the cockpit of the Blackbird — a design language that sets these Wangan Midnight collaboration pieces apart from conventional watches.
- Wheel Design Engraved Caseback: The caseback features a wheel design engraving, adding a final layer of automotive detail that rewards close inspection and reinforces the watch's identity as a genuine collaboration piece, not a simple colourway release.
- Black x Silver Two-Tone Crown: The crown is finished in a black x silver two-tone combination evoking the contrast of tyre and wheel — one of those details that Wangan Midnight fans will immediately appreciate.
- Solar-Powered Movement & 10 Bar Water Resistance: Built on Angel Clover's reliable 40 x 40mm solar platform with a triple-link stainless steel bracelet with locking clasp, mineral glass crystal, and 100-metre (10 bar) water resistance — practical for everyday wear alongside its collectible appeal. Backed by a 1-year warranty.
