The Seiko LM Special is a fascinating and collectible line of vintage Japanese watches that represents a significant chapter in Seiko's horological history. Launched in the late 1960s through the 1970s, it was positioned as a line of upper-mid-tier automatic dress watches, above the standard Seiko 5s, but below the King Seiko and Grand Seiko. The "Lord Matic Special" was a step above the regular Lord Matic models, incorporating higher-grade finishing, improved movements, and more premium cases and dials.
With its uniquely textured dial and hi-beat movement, this LM Special blends vintage charm with reliable daily wearability. We dated its manufacturing date to July 1974, making it the perfect birth year watch for anyone born in that year.
