The Seiko Prospex Alpinist Mechanical GMT HBC008J introduces the first-ever GMT complication to the Alpinist line — a Seiko Global Brand Core Shop exclusive built on the DNA of the 1959 Laurel Alpinist, Seiko's first dedicated sport watch. HBC008J's radial-sunray blue dial and matching navy leather strap play up the Alpinist's dressier side while keeping its field-watch roots intact. The 39.5mm case houses the newly developed Caliber 6R54 automatic movement with a 72-hour power reserve, paired with a compass-equipped inner bezel. The red-tipped 24-hour GMT hand and hairline-finished bezel give the second-timezone display genuine field-watch legibility, while the curved sapphire crystal with inner anti-reflective coating and Dia-Shield case coating bring the finish up to premium sports-watch standard. Japan-only, Core Shop distribution-limited model.

- Radial-Sunray Blue Dial & Navy Leather Strap: The blue dial shifts tone with the light, giving this field watch an unexpectedly dressy presence, paired with a matching navy calfskin leather strap and one-push triple-fold clasp.
- Dia-Shield Case & Curved Sapphire Crystal: The stainless steel case is finished with Dia-Shield coating for scratch resistance, paired with a curved sapphire crystal featuring inner anti-reflective coating for clean legibility.
