On January 29, 2025, Doctor Yellow, which has been running through three eras, Showa, Heisei, and Reiwa, will finally make its last run.* A retirement commemorative wristwatch for the 923 Doctor Yellow (T4 formation, JR Central), which supported the safe operation of the Shinkansen trains traveling between Tokyo and Hakata, has been created in collaboration with Seiko.
The stylish design incorporates the Doctor Yellow mission inherited from the T1, T2, and T3 into the fresh yellow x blue No. 20 dial. The parabola that symbolizes the smart body of the T4 gives a sense of a bright future.
This memorial watch of the 923 Class Doctor Yellow T4 expresses our gratitude to the "yellow bullet train of happiness." To fill our irreplaceable lives with countless joys, the train will continue to run on the rails of time.
*T5 train set will be retired in 2027
*Only 5,000 pieces will be made
