The Sakura Wars 30th Anniversary Moon Phase Watch is Fulton Japan's definitive object for the franchise's milestone year. Released in 1996, Sakura Wars — the tactical role-playing game set in an alternate Taisho-era Japan where steam-powered mechs called Kobu are piloted by theatrical performers to defend the empire — became one of SEGA's most beloved properties of its era, with multiple sequels, an anime adaptation, a stage musical division, and a legacy of world-building that continues to resonate thirty years on.

The Sakura Wars watch compresses that thirty years of world-building into a single dial. The face is cherry blossom Mother of Pearl — the sakura motif that defines both the heroine's name and the series' recurring visual vocabulary. At 12 o'clock, two natural diamonds reference Taisho Year 12 (1923), the year the story begins. Six metal decorations around the dial reference each of the six members of the Imperial Combat Revue's Flower Division. At the dial's centre, two colour stones reference the Kobu's camera eye — the optical sensor of the series' signature mech. The minute hand is modelled on 霊剣荒鷹 (Spirit Sword Arataka), the blade carried by protagonist Shinguji Sakura. At 6 o'clock, a custom moon phase complication alternates between two scenes — the Imperial Grand Theatre and the Kobu — as the moon cycles through its phases, each scene appearing for approximately half the lunar month.

The caseback engraves the release dates of every main entry in the Sakura Wars series alongside the individual edition number. Production is strictly limited to 2,026 pieces — the number referencing the year 2026, the 30th anniversary. Edition numbers are assigned randomly, not by order date. Ships mid-April 2027.
