Casio G-SHOCK Sushi Series Ikura DW-6900SSH-1JR Limited Edition

The Casio G-SHOCK DW-6900SSH-1JR is the Ikura (Salmon Roe) model in the G-SHOCK Sushi Series — three Made in Japan G-SHOCKs produced at the Yamagata Casio factory, each themed around an iconic sushi item. The DW-6900SSH is the most visually dramatic model in the series: the 6900's signature round case with its triple-window digital display, reimagined as a gunkan-maki (warship roll) — the specific sushi form used for ikura, where nori seaweed wraps around a cylinder of rice to hold the salmon roe in place.

The round case shape is the gunkan itself. The black bezel represents the nori seaweed. The transparent dial surface carries a graphic rendering of いくら (ikura) salmon roe — the spherical, glistening orange beads rendered with the kind of graphic texture that captures their sheen. The band's reverse side is white — the shari (vinegared rice) visible from the side of the watch, completing the gunkan construction. The orange front light button matches the roe colour. The caseback carries the 湯呑み (teacup) motif shared across all three models. Packaging is a 折箱 (takeout sushi box); open it and a wasabi motif appears — specified as わさび抜き (no wasabi) for ikura, which is traditionally served without. ~5 year battery. Made in Japan. Pre-order now, releasing October 16, 2026.

Key Features:

• Gunkan-Maki Design — Black Bezel (Nori), White Band Reverse (Shari), Ikura Dial: The entire watch is a gunkan-maki: round case = the warship form, black bezel = nori, white band reverse = shari visible from the side, transparent dial with ikura graphic = the salmon roe. An object built around a single, specific piece of sushi logic applied completely across every element of the watch.
• 湯呑み Caseback + 折箱 Packaging + わさび抜き: Teacup caseback engraving on the back. Takeout sushi box packaging. Wasabi motif inside specified as わさび抜き (no wasabi) — ikura is not traditionally served with wasabi. The most specific wasabi preference in the series.
