Tales of the Abyss 20th Anniversary Moon Phase Limited Edition Wristwatch

The Tales of the Abyss 20th Anniversary Watch is a 36mm moon-phase wristwatch from Fulton Japan, made for the 20th anniversary of Tales of the Abyss and limited to 2,005 pieces, a number taken from the game's release year. Namco gave Tales of the Abyss its own genre name, "the RPG of learning why one exists", and the story turns on two characters, Luke and Asch, and what it means to be born. The watch was designed so that neither of them outweighs the other.

The hands are modelled on the swords of Luke and Asch, each part about a third the size of a toothpick. The dial is engraved with a guilloché pattern taken from the game's logo and set with two melee diamonds for the anniversary. Asch's costume mark sits at 3 o'clock and Luke's at 9 o'clock. At 6 o'clock a moon-phase window carries a disc patterned after the Eldrant stage where the two face each other. The crown is engraved with the sleeping ブウサギ (Bū-usagi) from the game, nose bubble inflated, and the screw-back caseback carries the edition number from a run of 2,005, assigned at random.

Two bands come in the box: a solid stainless steel bracelet and a brown leather band, interchangeable, fitting wrists from 15 to 22cm. Also included are an acrylic watch stand styled after the moonlit night from the game's ending, with the logo engraved on its base and a choice of Luke or Asch to display, a guarantee card showing the title, the 20th anniversary lettering, the game package and the sleeping ブウサギ, and a brown PU leather watch box foil-stamped in gold for the anniversary. MIYOTA 6P20 movement, Japan-made, ±25 seconds per month. Assembled in China.

Key Features:

• Luke and Asch Sword Hands — Guilloché Logo Dial, Two Melee Diamonds: The hands take the shape of the two characters' swords. The dial is engraved with a guilloché pattern drawn from the game's logo and set with two melee diamonds to mark the 20th anniversary.
• Asch at 3, Luke at 9 — Neither Outweighs the Other: The mark from Asch's costume sits at 3 o'clock and the mark from Luke's costume at 9 o'clock, so the dial gives the two equal weight.
• Eldrant-Stage Moon Phase at 6 O'Clock: The moon-phase disc is patterned after the Eldrant stage where Luke and Asch face each other, turning as the moon phase advances.
• 2,005 Pieces — Random Edition Number, Sleeping Bū-usagi Crown: Limited to 2,005 pieces, after the game's 2005 release year. The edition number is engraved on the caseback and assigned at random, so it can't be chosen. The crown carries the sleeping ブウサギ.
• 2-Way Band — Stainless Steel Bracelet + Brown Leather, 15–22cm: Swap between a solid stainless steel bracelet and a brown leather band to change the character of the watch. Case 36mm, 10mm thick.
• Acrylic Watch Stand, Guarantee Card and Leather Watch Box Included: The acrylic stand lets you display either Luke or Asch, the guarantee card carries the game package art, and the brown PU leather box is foil-stamped for the anniversary.
• MIYOTA 6P20 — Stainless Steel, Crystal Glass, Enhanced Daily-Life Water Resistance: Japan-made MIYOTA 6P20 movement with an accuracy of ±25 seconds per month. Stainless steel case and crystal glass, with a screw-back caseback. Assembled in China.
