Seiko Astron Nexter HAB012J Shohei Ohtani 2026 Limited Edition GPS Solar Japanese Wristwatch

Released today — September 24, 2026. The Seiko Astron Nexter HAB012J is a limited edition of 1,700 pieces produced in honour of Shohei Ohtani, Seiko's Global Ambassador, and his continued dominance as a Los Angeles Dodger. This is the most technically specified Ohtani collaboration Seiko has produced: GPS Solar Caliber 5X63, titanium construction throughout, sapphire crystal with Super Clear Coating on both surfaces, and a design programme that draws directly from the Dodgers home uniform without leaning on branding in any obvious way.

The dial carries the Dodgers' blue, white, and red at specific structural locations rather than as decoration: the 3 o'clock sub-dial houses Ohtani's jersey number "17" set in the same typeface used on the actual uniform. The case edges carry blue accents at the side buttons and crown. The two-tone special silicone strap — included alongside the titanium bracelet via Smart Switch® tool-free swap — references Ohtani's 二刀流 (two-way) identity as both pitcher and hitter, each side of the strap representing one role. The caseback bears Ohtani's actual signature, the LIMITED EDITION inscription, and the individual serial number confirming each watch's place within the 1,700-piece run. A matching signed special box is included.

GPS Solar Caliber 5X63 receives GPS satellite signals for automatic timezone correction across 38 timezones. Super Smart Sensor provides up to two auto-corrections per day when sunlight hits the dial. Full charge delivers approximately 6 months of drive.
