Inspired by the Milky Way gliding across a moonlit sky, this dial blends the timeless elegance of black lacquer with the shimmering iridescence of mother-of-pearl inlay.
Where tradition meets innovation, each piece is crafted using a high-precision electroforming process to create an intricate metal base that ensures a perfect bond with the lacquer. Five hand-applied layers of rich black lacquer create depth and dimension, while mother-of-pearl fragments are delicately arranged to evoke a cosmic motif. A final lacquer coating is applied and polished by hand, revealing a mesmerizing finish that captures both light and imagination.
Ryuga lacquered dial
Created by master craftsman Tetsuo Gido using traditional Aizu lacquerware techniques. Each watch face is individually handcrafted, with a mother-of-pearl inlay that is unique to each watch, a personalized reflection of the celestial night sky.
