The MOTHER3 20th Anniversary x G-SHOCK DW-5600 is a collaboration between Hobonichi MOTHER Project and Casio G-SHOCK, marking 20 years since the release of MOTHER3 — Shigesato Itoi's landmark Game Boy Advance RPG that sold exclusively in Japan in 2006 and became one of the most beloved and emotionally resonant games ever made. The base is the DW-5600 — the most traditional and iconic square G-SHOCK silhouette, known to collectors as the "Speed Model" after Keanu Reeves wore it in the 1994 film Speed. The colour is a vivid sunflower yellow, evoking the unforgettable sunflower field that stretches across Chapter 6 of MOTHER3. The MOTHER3 logo is printed on the dial. The red accent colour references the key colour of the entire MOTHER series, creating a colourway that echoes the legendary "Jason" — one of G-SHOCK's most storied colour combinations. The EL backlight reveals a pixel art sunflower field when activated. The resin band is covered in Mr. Saturnses playing ladder games and fishing. "ぽてんしゃる！" ("Potential!") is engraved on the caseback. A gold protector — an unprecedented feature for a MOTHER collaboration — adds structural protection and sharp visual character. Delivered in a special sunflower field tin case.
