The Ghost in the Shell x G-Shock DW-5600 is a limited-edition collaboration released to coincide with the Ghost in the Shell Exhibition held at Tokyo Node in Toranomon Hills from January 30 to April 5, 2026 — marking 37 years since the legendary manga first launched the franchise. Built on the iconic square DW-5600 platform that traces its lineage back to the original 1983 DW-5000, this watch translates the cyberpunk aesthetic of Ghost in the Shell into a wearable piece of the franchise's history. The details are understated but purposeful: turquoise G-Shock bezel text evoking the teal cyber-tones of the series, Ghost in the Shell branding on both dial and strap, and the watch's defining easter egg — activate the electro-luminescent backlight and Major Motoko Kusanagi's silhouette materialises behind the time display, as if emerging from the network itself. Presented in a white collector's box emblazoned with a portrait of The Major and the official Ghost in the Shell logo.
