This automatic mechanical wristwatch expresses the spirit of "Evangelion" using the traditional craft of "raden" (mother-of-pearl inlay), which utilizes the nacreous layer of seashells.
Each dial is meticulously finished by hand by skilled craftsmen, making each one a unique and exceptional piece.
The movement, the heart of the watch, is made in Japan and assembled in Japan, making it a Made in Japan model.
■Unit-02 Model
The design of Unit-02 is expressed using raden.
The "02" part of Unit-02 is placed at the 2 o'clock position.
The other indices and the shape of the case are inspired by the AT Field.
This is a meticulously crafted timepiece with features of Unit-02 scattered throughout.
■Raden (Mother-of-
Pearl Inlay) Raden is a traditional Japanese technique in which the iridescent, iridescent part of seashells such as abalone is shaved to the thinnest possible extent and used to decorate lacquerware. In Takaoka City, Toyama Prefecture, it has long been called "Aogai-nuri" and has been passed down as a representative technique of Takaoka lacquerware.
Because mother-of-pearl is a natural material, you can enjoy the unique expression created by the natural iridescence of the shell.
This product uses this mother-of-pearl inlay, with each dial carefully finished by hand by skilled craftsmen.
*Due to the nature of mother-of-pearl inlay, there will be individual differences in color and pattern, and the appearance will change depending on the reflection of light. Also, because it is applied by hand by craftsmen, there will be individual differences in the pattern.
*The case back is a screw-back (screw-down type), so the rotation of the logo will differ from the photo. Please be aware of this in advance.
