FAQ

Can you find a specific watch for me?

Yes — sourcing is one of our main services. Send us the exact model or reference (a link or photo is ideal), your budget, and whether you'd like new/unused or are open to pre-owned. We'll check availability and send you a quote.

How much is [watch] shipped to my country?

Shipping is free unless you decided to ship with out express shipping option. Shipping is calculated at checkout. USA based customers do not have free shipping.

Will I have to pay customs or import duties?

Yes, you will need to pay for import duties/VAT. Import duties/VAT are not included at checkout. Unless, your shipping address is in the USA, then import duties are included.

How can I get a refund?

You can request for a refund with out support email at "support@thejapanesefactory.com" and request for a refund. Note that there will most likely be a cancellation fee if more than 12 hours have passed since ordering.

How does the deposit work?

We offer a 50% deposit option, with the remaining balance due after 30 days or when the watch is ready to ship (for pre-orders).

Can I pay my other 50% deposit now?

Yes. Please contact "support@thejapanesefactory.com" and ask.

Can I change/switch my 50% deposit payment to a new card?

Yes. Please contact "support@thejapanesefactory.com" and we will send an invoice in which you can input a new card. Note that your card will still not be charged the other 50% until 30days later or when shipped.

Can I pick up my order in person in Japan?

Yes. Please contact "support@thejapanesefactory.com" and ask. We can arrange a date and time for pick up. We will also fully refund shipping and duties if you have paid for any.

I have not recieved an update/tracking number for my order.

If you have not recieved an update or a tracking number within 3-10 business days and it is not a pre-order item. Please contact our support team at "support@thejapanesefactory.com" and ask.

I used the wrong payment card — can it be changed?

If the incorrect card has been charged, then we can not change it. And if you would like to cancel the order, there will be a cancellation fee due to international transfer fees.

Are the watches authentic?

Yes, all the watches we sell are authentic, brand-new and comes with boxes and papers. Unless stated otherwise on the product page. For example we sell vintage watches as well, most of these do not have boxes and papers nor are brand-new.

When will my order be shipped?

From the time you odered to it being shipped will take around 2-8 days (excluding weekends). If you have placed an order on a Thursday or Friday, it will most likely be shipped on Monday next week. For pre-orders you can see estimated delivery dates on the products page on our website.
