"Fastest in Akina" - A serious second in the name
The year is 19XX, and the tofu shop owner's private car is racing up Mount Akina.
"Initial D" began with this car driven by Takumi Fujiwara, a third-year high school student. Set on public roads, the story features a long straight line followed by a succession of corners and five consecutive hairpin turns. The races on mountain roads, which make full use of genius techniques such as "drifting" and "ditching," as well as the battles with numerous rivals in a mesmerizing split second, drew readers in, and the series gained popularity not only in Japan but around the world.
A chronograph model was released to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the serialization of "Initial D" in 2025. The black and white dial is inspired by Takumi Fujiwara's "Hachiroku", one of the most popular cars in the series, and features the Fujiwara Tofu Shop (private) logo at the 4 o'clock position. In addition, the 3 and 9 o'clock subdials are designed to resemble meters, and the 6 o'clock subdial features the "D logo", which stands for "Drift" and "Dream".
This is a limited edition of 1,995 units, designed to celebrate the ultimate driving experience for all those who love cars and driving.
