Timepiece of the Forest — A Symbol of Conservation

The Huai Kha Khaeng Wildlife Sanctuary was declared Thailand’s first UNESCO Natural World Heritage Site, recognized alongside the Thung Yai area. This honor was the result of tireless work led by the late Seub Nakhasathien and his team to nominate the sanctuary, which was officially recognized in 1991—one year after Seub’s passing. The sanctuary is rich in biodiversity and home to rare and endangered wildlife species, making it a vital ecological treasure.

Recognizing the dedication and sacrifice of forest rangers, Seiko (Thailand) collaborated with the Seub Nakhasathien Foundation to create a special edition timepiece: the Seub Nakhasathien Thailand Limited Edition. This tribute watch is inspired by the spirit of forest protectors, built upon the Seiko Prospex Land Series Alpinist model.

Design and Features

• Dial: Deep green "Green Forest" texture, representing the lush density of forest viewed from above.
• Caseback: Transparent with the foundation's emblem—a deer leaping over wildfire—engraved on the glass, along with an individual serial number.
• Gold-tone indices: Symbolizing sunlight filtering through the trees.
• Inner bezel: Features compass markings and directional degrees, ideal for hikers and adventurers.
• Date window: Located at 3 o'clock.
• Cathedral-style hands: Vintage design inspired by stained-glass windows in European cathedrals.
• Case and bracelet: Made of durable silver-tone stainless steel.
• Extra strap: Comes with a vintage-style green leather strap (Green Forest) as a bonus.

The watch is housed in an exclusive box made from 100% recycled paper, with a 3D paper-cut layered lid depicting the vibrant Huai Kha Khaeng forest. The design features a tiger—a key indicator of forest richness and the most commonly found wild tiger in Southeast Asia—and a deer, the foundation’s symbol.

A portion of proceeds from the watch sales will be donated to the Seub Nakhasathien Foundation to purchase equipment and provide support to rangers and forest protectors working to conserve both the forest and the surrounding communities.
