The spirit of the 500 Series Shinkansen is reawakened with this commemorative watch.

The 500 series Shinkansen was developed 25 years ago to compete with airplanes. Its streamlined body minimizes air resistance, It achieved commercial operation at a speed of 300 km/h, the fastest in the world at the time. It was designed by German design master Neumeister.

Its futuristic looks have earned it the reputation of being the most beautiful Shinkansen train, and it boasts enduring popularity.

To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the debut of the 500 Series, Seiko has released a stylish commemorative watch.

The train is made entirely of stainless steel and features a chronograph mechanism, with the blue and grey colour scheme of the front car as the base colour.

The parabola connecting the three subdials is a symbol of the cutting-edge form of the 500 series.

Limited to 5,000 pieces, with an edition number. Delivered in a specially made box.
